Big Brand Water Filter has a complete line of TDS, conductivity and resistivity handheld and bench water testers.
TDS, conductivity and resistivity all measure the same thing yet present the results of the water test in a different format.
TDS measures total dissolved solids which is almost a direct correlation to mg/liter or milligrams per liter of dissolved solids.
Conductivity is a measure of the water's ability to conduct electricity which is directly relational to the level of TDS. Some labs use this form of measurement.
Resistivity is the resistance of water to conduct electricity. This meaurement is often used for deionized water. Once TDS gets below 1 ppm, we use resistity to quantify the purity of the water. Please Note: All of our Oakton test equipment are special ordered items. There are absolutley no refunds on these items unless defected. Items must be tested and reported if not working.
