The Stand Mounted Triple Big Blue Filter System allows for custom configurations in addition to allowing installation without having to have a permanent wall mount.
The housings can be mounted in series or in parallel.
In series is the same as the standard filter systems where the water goes through stage one, then stage two then stage three.
Parallel configuratation is good for 1 micron or smaller filtration while still obtaining satisfactory flow rates for whole house filtration. The most popular setup is a 1 micron absolute filter in housing 1, then running the water through 1 micron carbon filters in housings two and three at the same time. So, the water goes in filter housing 1, out of housing 1, then plumbed into housings two and three inlets at the same time, then the outlets of housings two and three are joined together. This conifiguration will give greater reduction of colloidal materials and greater capacity of chemical reduction when using a pair of 1 micron carbon blocks.
System includes stand (unassembled), three filter housings, hardware to attach housings to the stand, and a filter wrench.
