We sold Doulton products in the early nineties. The brand seemed to have disappeared for a while but has made a comeback. Doulton claim to fame has always been the ceramic filter. The filters offer submicron filtration in a cleanable type of water filter.
All suspended solids are caught on the surface of the filter. A wire brush can be used to clean the filter and they can be boiled to sterilize them.
