Wine may require 0.45 or 0.65 microns. Electronics manufacturers sometimes require .1 micron or even 0.01 micron filters. These filter cartridges will meet these types of needs and more. These filters fall into two primary categories: Depth filters and pleated filters.

Depth filters are good for pre-filtration and will capture particles throughout the filter.
Membrane filters are for final filtration, generally have a higher removal efficiency but have little dirt holding capacity as everything is caught on the surface.
Specialty cartridges are for high temperature or specific chemical applications.
