Desal Commercial Reverse Osmosis Membranes

Sub-Categories
  • Ametek Commercial Reverse Osmosis Membrane Elements
The A-Series, family of proprietary thin-film reverse osmosis membrane elements are characterized by high flux and excellent sodium chloride rejection. AG High Rejection Brackish Water Elements are selected when high rejection and operating pressures as low as 200 psig (1,379 kPa) are desired. These elements allow moderate energy savings, and are considered a standard in the industry. Water elements feature a tape outerwrap and 28 mil feed spacers. These elements are designed with flush ended connections.

  • Desal H-Series Nano Filtration Elements
The Desal H-Series proprietary thin-film nanofiltration membrane elements are characterized by an approximate molecular weight cut-off of 150-300 daltons for uncharged organic molecules. Divalent and multivalent ion rejection is dependent upon feed concentration and composition. HL Nanofiltration Elements are used for water softening, color removal, and reduction of THM potential. HL2521TF Water Softening elements feature a tape outerwrap and 28 mil feed spacers. This element is designed with male end connections. Specifications are based on a 2,000 mg/L MgSO4 solution at 100 psig (690 kPa) net pressure, 77°F (25°C), pH 7.5, and 15% recovery, after 24 hours. Individual flux may vary +25%/-15%.

  • Duraslick Low Fouling Reverse Osmosis Membranes Duraslick Low Fouling Reverse Osmosis Membranes
    Duraslick™
Low Fouling Membranes for Surface and Natural Water
Membrane fouling is a common occurrence in pure water applications that negatively affects a reverse osmosis system's productivity. Typically the buildup of organic material and colloids on the membrane surface, as well as microbiological growth, are the causes of membrane fouling. This produces a loss of flux, lower rejection rates and pressure increases.
GE Osmonics Duraslick™ membrane elements incorporate an innovative membrane design that is significantly smoother, less fouling and more consistent. Some benefits include: Less frequent Cleaning
    Lower Consumption of Chemicals
    Longer Element Life
    Reduced Energy Usage
    SDI Tolerance: <5
    pH: 1.5 - 10.5
    Tempurature Limit: <45 Degrees Celsius
    Typical Plant Rejection Performances: 98.5%

  • Duratherm® Reverse Osmosis element for Hot Water Sanitization Duratherm® Reverse Osmosis element for Hot Water Sanitization
Superior High Temperature Sanitization for Consistent Product Quality
In numerous pure water applications, hot water sanitization is utilized to ensure consistent product quality, bacteria-free packaging and membrane system performance. When “biocide” isn’t an option, or choice, high temperature water is an effective and cost-efficient solution for many applications. Since Pasteur’s discovery in 1865, moist heat sanitization, or Pasteurization, has been used to kill any bacteria or microbes to a safe level. Heat conveyed by hot water acts on microorganisms by denaturation and coagulation of protein chains. The table below shows approximate operating conditions (temperature and period of time) for moist heat eradication.
