  • Plastomatic Series PR Pressure Regulators Plastomatic Series PR Pressure Regulators
Plastomatic True Blue® Pressure Regulators help you manage pressure "downstream" of the valve.

    Uses of these versatile regulators...
    • Prevent overpressure conditions to downstream equipment such as filters, sensitive tools, etc.
    • Convert excessive or wildly fluctuating upstream pressure to a constant predetermined downstream pressure.
    • Control pressure differential (Delta P) across downstream system equipment (Refer to Series PRD below).
    • Regulate to the correct pressure range so that a flow system or piece of equipment can operate safely and efectively.

These valves have many outstanding features...
    • Offer wide range of pressure settings with smooth, sensitive operation.
    • Engineered thermoplastics for corrosive and ultra pure liquids.
    • One piece body construction eliminates internal leakage that can cause malfunction.
    • Pressure sensing is done with rolling diaphragms. These have the largest surface area among all diaphragm regulator designs, which results in the greatest accuracy. Furthermore, the sensing chamber is isolated from the flow path, so it provides unrestricted flow.
    • Fail-Dry safety feature (must specify Series PRA).
    • Each valve is individually tested prior to shipment.
    • No wetted metals; all external fasteners are stainless steel, control springs on spring loaded models are not in the liquid.
    • Maintenance-free designs.
    • Factory pre-set if requested.
    • Internal sensing area flush option.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Effective pressure regulation requires minimal or no pressure loss from your desired set point, with minimal impact on flow capacity. All of the valves listed below represent the ultimate combination of pressure regulation and flow performance.

Plast-O-Matic EASYMT & EASMT Series 2-Way Solenoid Valves

  • Plast-O-Matic LMBV Series Lateral Reducing Ball Valves Plast-O-Matic LMBV Series Lateral Reducing Ball Valves
Plast-O-Matic Trunnion Ball Valves are available with an adapter for easy and compact connection to standard plumbing tees, resulting in substantially stronger and more compact valve connection to lateral piping. This design eliminates the need for a reducer, additional length of pipe, and one of the end connections on the ball valve.

Advantages over traditional ball valve tee connections:
    •  Faster plumbing — reduces labor.
    •  The overall length is shorter; valve body is partly inside the plumbing tee.
    •  Design enables removal of valve and access to internals.
    •  Resists piping stresses better than traditional “reducer” connections.
    •  Eliminates potential variations in pipefitting.
    •  Assembly is substantially stronger than pipe + reducer + fittings.

Use in place of zero dead-leg valves:
    •  Lower cost.
    •  Virgin, non-pigmented Kynar PVDF and Natural Polypro compatible with all butt fusion piping systems.
    •  Zero-static area* similar in size to diaphragm valve; uses same concept of turbulence/flushing action to prevent deadleg.
    •  Valve is threaded into adapter — a true union — easier maintenance, easier changes in piping system.

    Plast-O-Matic PS Series Solenoid Valves

  • Plast-O-Matic Series ARV Air Release Valves Plast-O-Matic Series ARV Air Release Valves
Normally-open valve vents high volume of system air at start-up. As liquid rises, a self-guided poppet closes the valve. The valve will close with liquid present at 0 psi, and will close bubble-tight under pressure. Once the valve closes, it will not re-open until liquid is drained from the system and pressure drops. For continuous venting as needed, see Series DGV below. If your application requires expulsion of a large amount of air, as well as periodic venting of smaller amounts, you may require both the Series ARV and Series DGV.

Plast-O-Matic Series ARV Air Release Valves

  • Plast-O-Matic Series BSDA Air Operated Shutoff Valves Plast-O-Matic Series BSDA Air Operated Shutoff Valves
Compact valve features PTFE diaphragm with no wetted elastomers or metals. The PTFE diaphragm is backed with an elastomeric diaphragm to enhance flexibility and improve longevity. Valve bodies are available in Geon® brand PVC, natural unpigmented virgin polypropylene, Kynar® brand PVDF, and PTFE. This valve is ideal for high purity processes such as deionized water, as well as ultra-harsh chemicals not compatible with elastomers. Series BSDA is available in pipe sizes 1/4" through 1½", with threaded, socketed, and spigot ends.

Plast-O-Matic Series BSDA Air Operated Shutoff Valves

  • Plast-O-Matic Series BSDA PTFE Diaphragm Valves Plast-O-Matic Series BSDA PTFE Diaphragm Valves
Designed for pressure and drain applications processing ultra pure water and highly corrosive chemicals. The valve is ideal for a wide range of uses, from pharmaceutical to semiconductor in PTFE, Kynar PVDF or Polypro body materials; car washes to chemical plants in the lower-cost Geon PVC body materials, and higher temperatures in those applications with Corzan CPVC bodies. For high purity applications such as deionized water, Series BSDA provides the ultimate in non-leaching, contamination-free sealing. The standard valves are air pressure to open, with "fail safe" spring return to close. Because the diaphragm is attached to the piston, no inlet pressure is required to assist with opening. The BSDA is not designed for vacuum service.

  • Plast-O-Matic Series CK Diaphragm Check Valves Plast-O-Matic Series CK Diaphragm Check Valves
Diaphragm Check Valves are Superior to "ball checks" The patented diaphragm in the Plast-O-Matic True Blue Check Valve is designed to re-seat with a bubble tight seal regardless of mounting position or reverse flow. Ball style check valves require two properties to seal properly: First, the ball check must be mounted with the flow direction pointed up, because gravity is required to pull the ball to the seat. Secondly, some reverse pressure and flow must be present, because pressure is required to seal the ball exactly on the seat. If either of these conditions are not met, the ball check will leak! On the other hand, the Plast-O-Matic diaphragm check will seal in any position, whether or not flow is present. Here's a Simple Test: Take a Plast-O-Matic diaphragm check valve and place it flow arrow up on a paper towel. Pour a small amount of water into the outlet, lift up the valve, and you will see that it has remained absolutely sealed -- no evidence of dampness on the paper towel. Now take any ball-style check valve and perform the exact same test -- just be sure to have extra paper towels on hand!

  • Plast-O-Matic Series DGV Continuous Degassing Valves Plast-O-Matic Series DGV Continuous Degassing Valves
Vents trace amounts of gas continuously, as they occur and accumulate in the valve. Recommended for applications prone to outgassing, ozone processes, etc. This is a normally open valve -- vents in or out -- increasing liquid pressure forces air/gas out. Rising liquid lifts a natural polypropylene float, which acts on an armature and seal to close the valve bubble tight. When air or gas accumulates again, the float drops and the valve reopens. Liquid pressure forces the gas to be expelled, and then re-closes the valve. The process repeats over and over, automatically, as gas accumulates. The valve has a very small orifice and is designed for trace amounts of gas. To expel large volumes of air such as at system start-up, see Series ARV above. If your application requires expulsion of a large amount of air, as well as periodic venting of smaller amounts, you may require both the Series ARV and Series DGV.

    Plast-O-Matic Series TRVDT Control Valves

  • Plast-O-Matic THP Series Direct-Acting 3-Way Solenoid Valves Plast-O-Matic THP Series Direct-Acting 3-Way Solenoid Valves
Plast-O-Matic offers one wetted core design; the rest are high-performance designs with the patented Fail-Dry safety vent, and absolutely no wetted metals. Most are direct acting, normally-closed. A pilot-operated model offers higher pressures and flows, and one normally-open model is available. The rest are 3-way (also known as diverter valves) or specialty items. This is a quick introduction, moving from the most basic offering to the most specialized. Immediately below is an overview of Plast-O-Matic's approach to Solenoid Valve design, followed by capsule descriptions with links to detailed catalog pages. •  Feature rugged thermoplastic construction with no wetted metal parts -- except Series WCM wetted core.
    •  EAS- Series 2-way, PS Series 2-way, and THP Series 3-way feature the patented Fail Dry safety vent.
    •  NEMA 4X coils -- with DIN connector -- available as standard on every valve.
    •  General-purpose "dust tight" and Explosion-Proof coils available as options on most valves.
    •  Optional lighted connector available.
    •  Many types of AC and DC coils available for most valves.
    •  Bodies are machined or molded from top quality brand plastics, including Geon® PVC, Corzan® CPVC, Kynar® PVDF, PTFE, Glass-Filled Polypro, and Natural, unpigmented Polypropylene.
    •  PTFE bellows designs prevent fugitive emissions.
    •  Seals standard in FKM and EPDM; optional materials such as Buna nitrile and Kalrez® readily available. Seal material on PTFE bellows design is a specially-treated FKM, so that one valve can handle virtually all liquids.
    •  Most direct-acting valves rated for full vacuum through pressure.
    •  Popular models, sizes and materials ship from stock.
    •  As your assurance of quality, each valve is individually tested under pressure by a Plast-O-Matic inspector prior to shipment.

  • Plast-O-Matic Ultra-Pure PTFE Diaphragm Gauge Guards Plast-O-Matic Ultra-Pure PTFE Diaphragm Gauge Guards
Gauge Guards are an economical way to protect instruments from corrosion and clogging -- or to protect your process from the instrument.

Plast-O-Matic True Blue Brand Gauge Guards maintain high accuracy, and assure system dependability within an operational range of full vacuum to 250 PSI, 200 PSI for Series GGME and GGMU.
    •  Offers an inexpensive initial investment.
    •  Reduces instrument failures.
    •  Reduces system downtime.
    •  Eliminates the expense of special alloy instruments.
    •  Choice of various thermoplastic materials assures maximum process compatibility.
    •  Every single Gauge Guard is individually inspected and hand tested.

Gauge Guards are used to isolate and protect pressure or vacuum instruments used on ultra-pure or highly-corrosive fluid lines. They can be confidently used with liquids such as deionized water (GGMU) sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, caustics...or with gasses such as corrosive air, ammonia...whenever such fluids will corrode metal instrument components. Gauge Guards also protect against clogging of instruments by suspended solids or highly viscous fluids. Furthermore, they eliminate dead pocket areas within instruments where chemicals or organic matter could decompose. All True Blue Gauge Guards are available with or without gauges.
