Acid washing removes ash content, prevent pH spiking and adds approximately 5% more capacity to carbon media. This carbon is excellent for general water treatment applications including taste, odor and color reduction.

Big Brand Acid Washed Coal Carbon is a bituminous coal based decolorizing carbon designed for efficient use in fixed beds or moving beds for the purification and de-colorization of many aqueous and organic liquids. Its particle size of 12 x 40 mesh has been selected to give a high rate of adsorption and low resistance to flow with liquids of low to medium viscosity.
